Booster Shot: It's a Girl for Fay Ann and Bunji!

Fay-Ann Lyons gave birth to a baby girl yesterday!  The new addition to the Alvarez family, comes well ahead of schedule by Caesarian Section

Carnival is over, but the celebrations have just begun for Fay-Ann Lyons and Bunji Garlin! Fay-Ann was admitted to Mt. Hope Women's hospital on Friday evening due to complications with her pregnancy.  She was suffering from a condition called Pre-Eclampsia which is categorized by excessive swelling in the hands and feet.  It affects about ten percent of women in their first pregancy and is considered to be very dangerous for both mother and child.  

The baby arrived just after noon on Saturday, while father, Ian Alvarez (Bunji Garlin)  arrived shortly after that.  It's reported that he wasn't able to be present for the birth due  as he was returning from Tobago fulfilling contractual obligations.

Don't be trying to pay the first family of soca a visit nah!  There's super tight security at the hospital.  If you're wondering, mom and baby are doing fine!
