Great news for the soca community in Tobago for 2010! The Caribbean Prestige Foundation has made the decision to secure a seeded spot in the International Soca Monarch (Power) Finals for the winner of Tobago Soca Monarch. Tobago is the latest island territory to be offered a guaranteed spot on Fantastic Friday.
Tobago Soca Monarch 2010 is set for January 17. The winner that night will compete against successful competitors from the Trinidad Soca Monarch Semifinals and the reigning 2009 Soca/Party Monarchs from;
Antigua - Tian Winter - "Soca Rebels"
Barbados - TC - "Hot Sun and Riddum"
Grenada - Mr Killa - "Swing It Away"
St. Lucia - Ricky T - "Like a Jumbie"
St. Vincent and the Grenadines - Skinny Fabulous - "Leggo De Beast"

all ah this HYPE up and dem nuh have a venue... this seems that they trying to get the THA to let them use the Jazz venue... it nah mek sense... its Trinidad & Tobago... no need for seeded spot... if yuh eh good enough... yuh eh good enough...
can someone from Trinidad enter the Tobago cleg... how will they determine who from where... reeks of bobol... and its losing its 'prestige' by going down this road...
