When I saw Dalpin rehearsing this song for Soca Monarch over a week ago, I was a little confused. I was sure the person I had asked was mistaken. This cute older man must have been practicing for some other show, not Soca Monarch!
The slower tempo was sounding more like Ragga Soca to me. The style might have even been able to pass for Calypso. But then, there he was on July fourth, performing this little ditty right alongside songs like Madhouse and De Beast Let Go! Stranger things have happened!
